Brunswick County Public Schools (BCPS) recently launched the BCPS Digital Badge series. The BCPS Digital Badge series is a new technology initiative for employees to celebrate the hard work of their staff. Krystle Pearson, Director of Technology says, “While it is a small recognition, our teachers are truly excited to receive their badges!”
Each of the badges for the initiative were created based on BCPS current platforms and resources. Employees earn these badges through meeting one or more of various requirements, like increased digital presence or recognition from a co-worker or colleague. As part of the special recognition, recipients receive a digital badge, a social media celebration, and a video link on how to add the digital badge to their email signature. Employees can earn several badges, providing a way to support digital technology within their school division.
