The Southside Virginia Regional Technology Consortium (SVRTC) celebrated the 10th annual SVRTC Technology awards banquet on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 in Blackwell Hall at Longwood University.  Twenty-two SVRTC school divisions were represented with over 140 SVRTC members in attendance.  There were fifty-five awards presented to SVRTC members who have promoted technology in their divisions.   The two competitive awards included the Technology Leadership award presented to Dr. Dorinda Grasty, Appomattox County School Division Superintendent and the Division Leadership award that was presented to Dinwiddie County Schools.

The 10th year banquet program included a welcome by Dr. Paul Chapman, Dean of the College of Education and Human Services and a history of SVRTC presented by Dr. Paula Leach, ITTIP Director.  Blackwell Hall was also particularly festive for the 10th year of the event highlighting pictures in the centerpieces of past SVRTC award banquets and awardees.
